National Rifle Association of America - "A" rating based on positive responses to the NRA candidate questionnaire and strong & vocal support of our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
National Federation of Independent Business - NFIB/Tennessee State Director Jim Brown praised Sen. Black for “standing for small business,” citing her perfect 100 percent NFIB voting record the last six years. Senator Black is the prime sponsor of a healthcare tax credit bill (Senate Bill 2659) designed to stimulate more healthcare coverage for small business owners, their employees and dependents. She also co-sponsored an important bill allowing the formation of small group health cooperatives for the purpose of obtaining health insurance.
NFIB also presented its coveted “Guardian of Small Business” award to Sen. Black for her outstanding voting record and leadership on behalf of Tennessee’s small-business owner s.
